The Charon Continuum is looking to create a new and original, science fiction universe that is entirely community driven; that is both free to access and free submit to.
The Charon universe is based upon submissions from the online Charon community of writers, artists, animators and other creatives. Giving them the chance to exhibit their work and their potential; gaining constructive criticism from the community, aiding them in improving their work.
The Continuum doesn’t care if you’re Neil Gaiman or his dog, if you have potential then we as a community will do our best to help unlock it.
We want to harness your feedback, your ideas and your your creativity to make the Universe real.
So don’t just read the Universe, help us build it.
Together we’ll create, we’ll entertain, we’ll teach and we’ll support; hopefully all the while making something amazing.

Happy May 4th everybody! Today is Star Wars Day and Free Comic Book Day, the greatest days of the year. (Much better than Christmas!)
Star Wars has obviously had a massive influence on those of us who work at The Charon Continuum and has had an incalculable effect on Science Fiction as a genre. It was actually Star Wars that was one of the main driving forces behind the Continuum's creation.

When Steve Ditko was given the 1987 Comic-con International Inkpot Award he refused it, saying "Awards bleed the artist and make us compete against each other. They are the most horrible things in the world." The point Ditko was trying to make was not that rewarding artistic merit is wrong but rather that making artists compete; to fight over whose work is better or more valid is insulting to the artist themselves.
The Charon Continuum was set up due to the Comic Book industries competitive nature. It is nearly impossible to break into the business and nobody tries to help those who dream.
